pen-smWant to share your thoughts and opinions with other readers and patrons?  Now is you chance and it’s so simple:

  • Pull up a record of the title you want to write a review about in the LION Online Catalog.  EX:   “Skipping Christmas” by John Grisham;
  • Now scroll down the page until you see “Add a Review” and click on the button;
  • You will need to set up a Reviewer Account with the system; simply choose a user name and a password — then in seconds, you’re all set.
  • Choose your “star level” and write your review.  Remember that these reviews are moderated somewhat, so use your discretion when writing.  When done, click on the save button.

That’s all there is to it — simple, effective and someone will appreciate your efforts.

library thingIt’s that time of year again!  School will be out soon and you’re free as a bird — sort of.   There is always that reading list being handed out just before you scoot out the door.  But don’t fret — we are here for you!

In the next week we will be loading up copies of the Grade Level Lists onto our website in case you need a quick referral, lose your list or want to make a request directly from the ONLINE CATALOG — very easy for you!

Did you know that you can create a “Wish List” within the LION Online Catalog and put in request holds right from your list?  Yes, you can!   Go to My Account and follow the directions listed there.

What about Audiobooks?  Most are unabridged (it’s the full book, not just edited parts), and you can download a book into your MP3 or iPod from OverDrive — and it’s free.    So, stick a book in your ear!

We’ve got lots of ways to help you do this — trust us.  We know what we’re doing when it comes to reading.
